CheckInDuck is built as a self-management app for daily habits. The app uses Apple platform permissions and a narrow data scope to help users manage tasks, reminders, widget status, and calendar history.
CheckInDuck can request notification permission and Apple Screen Time / Family Controls authorization. These permissions are used so the app can remind users about tasks and evaluate app-usage thresholds for user-selected apps.
The app only evaluates the apps a user explicitly selected for a task. It is not designed to monitor all apps automatically.
The app stores task configuration, daily record history, calendar notes, authorization state, reminder preferences, and subscription state so the product can function across launches.
Widget status may be shared through app-group storage so the Home Screen widget can display current task progress.
CheckInDuck does not read text, messages, taps, typed input, or screen content inside third-party apps. It does not inspect what a user does inside the selected app beyond threshold-based usage completion provided by Apple's APIs.
The app is built for personal habit support, not surveillance, parental spying, or hidden tracking.
Premium purchases and restores are handled through Apple StoreKit. Apple may process billing and transaction data according to its own policies.
If a user submits in-app feedback or sends email support, the submitted message and optional contact details may be received by the developer for support and product follow-up.
Data used for task tracking is retained as needed for the app experience unless a user removes tasks, clears related app data, revokes permissions, or deletes the app.
Users can stop monitoring at any time by revoking Screen Time / Family Controls authorization, disabling notifications, editing a task, or removing the app from their device.
